Based in Osaka, Japan, Erik Luebs is a musician, producer, and head operator of the Perfect Touch music/clothing label. Absolute Presence is a mini-album for Project Mooncircle that sees Luebs exploring emotional, beat-driven music. It blensd organic sounds with synthetic ones in subtle ways – it’s impossible to really tell which is which. Although heavy on atmosphere and rich in sound, the record hinges on its understated melodic sensibility and its clever sequencing, where tracks move from one into another without pausing for breath.
