Seven years since its recording, the second and final release from Nik Colk Void and Peter Rehberg's avant garde electronic project NPVR finally arrives. 33 34 expands on the rich soundplay of its predecessor by further blurring musical forms, pitting squelchy echoing footfalls with whistling comets and drifting rhythms. Metallic slashes skitter throughout ‘Raw to the Core’, bursting with frothy electricity. Processed guitar lines lurch beneath the mechanical workshop of ‘Invisible Man’, while ‘Ok but No’ buzzes with alien vocalisations and bubbles in sonic magma.
