Following on from mind melting releases for UIQ and Haunter Records, ZULI’s sound gets even more impressionistic and spontaneous on his first live album. Digla Dive presents dizzying, rapidfire sequences of rhythm, noise, and heavily manipulated synths, travelling to the very edges of his experimental beat tapestries with maelstroms of drums and obliterated rhythms. ‘Papercuts pt 3’ features overblown beats chucked into a lo fi inferno, cutting deep into its resounding bass, moving on to the visceral chirping and circuit bending of ‘3agn’ and the metallic vocal contortions of ‘Alteration Jump’.
