Boards of Canada – Trans Canada Highway (Warp)

The new EP from Boards of Canada, moving from the homely atmospheres of the last album towards 'a darker glacial place'. Skyliner is simply one of their best tracks ever - a pulsing, evolving lysergic beauty. The other new tracks are slower in pace but equally stunning. Finally, the remix of Dayvan Cowboy by cLOUDDEAD's Odd Nosdam is a 3-part epic that ebbs and flows and twists the original into new places. Includes free desktop wallpapers of the album artwork  [Electronic]

Jamie Lidell – Multiply Additions (Warp)

Finally all the remixes done for Jamie´s 'Multiply' album get an airing. The 'live at the scala' version revisits possible the best show of last year - Jamie with a dream-team band that included Gonzales, Mocky & Taylor Savvy.... The Freeform Five Reform is an excellent quantized 4/4 stomper.. But the Luke Vibert mix is the real killer here, featuring old school synth stabs and a huge break, and inspiring Jamie to re-record his vocal live over the top in one take. Finally, Mara Carlyle's vocal & ukelele version of ´Game For Fools´ is a touching heartfelt gem. [Electronic]

Tim Exile - Tim Exile´s Nuisance Gabbaret Lounge (Planet Mu)

Arguably the first ever rave-megablast culled entirely from live improv records, an acrobatic leap into the uncharted future of live eletronic performance. Tim in conversation with Bleep this week "I've never managed to figure out whether I'm a musician, a performer, a programmer or an inventor. So I'm doing it all for this album. I made it on stages around Europe. It's all completely improvised which in my vainer moments I think is a world first. At the very least I don't know of any dancefloor mashup albums which are. I made a machine specially for the task which I've been hiking around dungeons, fields, clubs, pubs, places of both natural beauty and dubious standing, performing to between 5 and 500 people. It's good on stage, and it's even better if you don't know what you're doing. In the process of making it I've channeled a kind of spontaneity that previously found me only in moments of extended debauchery or disregard for self and world." [Extreme Party Noise]

Venetian Snares – Cavalcade of Glee... (Planet Mu)

Another Aaron Funk joint - This time a welcome return to some of less mentalist than usual breakbeat work and delicious melodies last found in the best-selling "Rossz Csillag Alatt Szuletett" album. [Jungle/Breaks/EPN]

Other New Releases and Additions, Out now

Tunng - Comments of the Inner Chorus

The cream of the current British new folk revival, Tunng blend Wickerman arcana with wonky electronics and vocals. Now signed to Full Time Hobby after their earlier releases on Static Caravan, this is the duo's second album after last year's 'This is Tunng: Mothers Daughter and other Tales' debut made most critic's 'best of 2005' lists. Highly recommended. "Mike Lindsay and Sam Genders manage to refresh the folk genre with their subtle productions and darkly bucolic undercurrents...A more considered album than last year's debut, defined by Lindsay's elegantly strange frameworks and Genders' notably improved singing." Uncut [Folk/Electronics/Guitars]

Subtle – Wishingbone | Fog - Loss Leader (Lex Records)

Two top flight new releases from the re–energized Lex Records back in effekt. Subtle´s ´Wishingbone´ is a nice-price mini LP compendium of collaborations and remakes – featuring Beck, Mike Patton, Hrvatski, Fog, Ms John Soda - plus some all-new songs. Fog´s Loss Leader is a limited release on vinyl 10" and download – snap it up now!  [Folk/Electronics/Guitars]

  Burial – Burial (Hyperdub)

The long-awaited Burial album will be available from 1st July on Bleep in 320k Mp3 and FLAC. The original and long–deleted "South London Boroughs" EP is available now - click the image on the left. "deeply melancholic and moving...a longplayer steeped in the experience of London living" Blackdown "Does for London in the ´00s what Wu Tang did for New York in the ´90s...Its everything that Goldie´s Timeless ought to have been. Burial is one of the albums of the decade." K Punk [Dubstep/Minimal] [Dubstep/Minimal/Dub]

  Ed Bangers

Paris´s hottest label added to Bleep – all releases in 320k audio goodness. Justice, Vicarious Bliss, Crazy Baldhead, Paraone, Feadz and more. [ElectroRock / French]

Senor Coconut - El Baile Aleman

A classic addition to Bleep – the famous album of Kraftwerk songs recreated in a Latin American style by Uwe Schmidt (aka Atom Heart), a resident of Santiago, Chile. Far from being a tasteless pastiche, Schmidt´s love and reverence for the band shine through on every track. one of the best covers albums ever, no question. [Kraftwerk/Bossa/Retro]
